Download Epoch, sign up with your email, and complete onboarding — add your name, date of birth, a few photos, and your preferences. Epoch is for adults 18 and older, so you'll need to confirm your date of birth.
Epoch uses your approximate location (a coarse area, not a precise pin) to show you nearby matches. You can control this through your device's location permissions.
Epoch is built for fewer, more meaningful connections — you hold a limited number of active matches at a time, and matches last a set window so conversations have room to breathe rather than pile up.
An extension adds more time to a match before it expires. You get a set number depending on your plan, and can buy additional extension credits in the app.
Watch alerts notify you when a match slot opens up on someone you're interested in. Watch-alert packs can be purchased in the app.
The ad-free subscription removes all advertisements from Epoch for a simple monthly price. It's optional — Epoch is free to use with ads.
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. To cancel, open the Google Play Store app → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select Epoch → Cancel. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
In the app, open Settings and choose Restore purchases. This re-syncs any active subscription or entitlements tied to your account.
Purchases are handled by Google Play, so refunds follow Google's policies. You can request a refund through the Google Play Store. See our Terms of Service for details.
Open the person's profile or your chat with them and use the report or block option. Reports are reviewed, and photos and content may be automatically scanned for safety. Epoch has a zero-tolerance policy for any sexual content involving minors and reports apparent child sexual abuse material to the authorities as required by law.
See our Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect, how it's used, and your rights — including how to access or delete your data.
Open Settings in the app and choose the delete-account option. This removes your profile and associated data, subject to any information we're legally required to retain (see the Privacy Policy).
Email us at feedback@epoch.date and we'll get back to you. For privacy requests, contact privacy@epoch.date. For urgent safety concerns, please also contact your local authorities.
